The Bookish Femme community is welcoming of all Black women, regardless of location, financial/social status, or religious affiliation. We embrace the LGBTQIA+ community, most importantly our Black trans sisters. This is a space for femme-identifying and femme-questioning persons, and discrimination, bullying, doxxing, or targeting of anyone who doesn’t fit your perception of who a “Black Femme” is or what she/they look like will not be tolerated. If you have a question about your belonging in this community, please reach out to the founders, we will embrace anyone looking for a safe space within the Bookish Femme collective.
To participate in our closed Facebook Community space, you can find us at The Bookish Femmes on FB. The FB page is for daily discussions, event coordinating, and general community-building practices.
As the Facebook community grows we will be looking for monitors to help facilitate a safe environment for everyone. If you have an interest in participating as a monitor or admin, let us know via email or direct message.
The Bookish Femmes does not have any other social media accounts outside of FB, if you see one pop up please come back here to verify its legitimacy before engaging with a potentially harmful account. We will NEVER ask community members for money, goods, or services, so please report any suspicious activities ASAP.
